Ceramic Coatings

The direction of ceramic coat technologies is one of the most demanded nowadays. Because, GTA weather and salt destroy metal body. Advances in the automotive industry allow you to protect paintwork, leather, textiles, wheels, optics and glass. It is not a panacea for severe mechanical damage, but it significantly increases the durability, wear resistance of the coating and improves the appearance. The treated surface has a richer gloss, high hydrophobicity and dirt repellency.

Ceramic coat is one of the best protection against corrosion and oxidation on metal products! Due to the dense placement of quartz nanoparticles, a hydrophobic protective layer is formed on the surface. Hydrophobic mesh prevents the penetration of moisture, water (even on bare metal).

Gyeon Q² Syncro EVO

The sophisticated double-stage formula delivers great results. The Q² Mohs base provides hardness and significant durability. Unique, new fluoro polysilazane technology offers incredible slickness and repellency. Q² Skin is a thick and flexible topcoat that provides great self-cleaning abilities. The extraordinary hardness of the coating preserves the effects achieved with paint correction. Combined with the extreme slickness of the Q² Skin topcoat, the Q² Syncro coating system provides immense benefits during daily maintenance routines, making regular care less frequent and easier.

CQuartz UK 3.0

An improved CQuartz formula that provides resistance to chemicals, salt, and environmental damage as well as provide excellent UV protection. The high silica-quartz content creates a hard glassy layer across painted or gel-coat surfaces. CQuartz UK adds incredible levels of depth to the paint along with unbelievable water and dirt repellency and a rugged durability measured in years. CQuartz UK has 70% SiO2 with 99.9% purity. This extremely high SiO2 level gives superior protection and gloss.

Leather protection

carpro leather ceramic

A car interior needs a lot of care. Leather, textile, plastic products are exposed to all kinds of dirt and mechanical damage. Coating forms the thinnest hydrophobic layer on the surface. The protection layer makes it much easier to care for the items and enhance color. The protection technology is based on nanoparticles, which form strong molecular compounds on the surface. Regular care will not only prolong the life of the interior, but also make it much more pleasant. The new formula CQUARTZ Leather 2.0 is water-based and therefore safe to use on all types of leather, including Nappa leather.

  • SELF-CLEANING, HYDROPHOBIC
  • UV RESISTANT, DENIM DYE COLORING RESISTANT
  • RESISTANT TO STAINS AND MARKERS
  • PRESERVES LEATHER COLOR, NO VOC

Glass coating

Protective nanocoating for glass is a completely transparent film that has dirt- and water-repellent properties, and also prevents the formation of ice. Water trapped on the film collects in almost perfectly spherical droplets that easily roll off the surface, picking up dirt and dust particles.

Ceramic Coatings. Myths and reality

Lately, many suppliers of detailing products have been putting emphasis on the name NANO or using this prefix for marketing. We are definitely going to see this word not only in car commercials. The term NANO is used very often in the music, computer devices and household chemicals markets. Today, more than 1,000 product manufacturers are already using the term to attract customers.

NANO is a unit of measure equal to one billionth of a meter 10-9

Modern methods and equipment make it possible to analyze nanoparticles in greater depth. Due to their small size, these particles can cover the surface area more efficiently. This makes them useful for many children's products, particularly protective coatings and detergents. Given that nanotechnology is a relatively new field of science with a high cost of entry, it explains why its properties have not previously been used commercially.

Be careful! Using the prefix NANO does not mean that the product contains NANO particles. Some manufacturers use the prefix NANO only for marketing purposes. "Real nano" begins at the moment of appearance of new properties of substances related to transition to these scales (The most essential and most important quality of nanoparticles, their main difference from micro- and macroparticles is the appearance of their fundamentally new properties, which do not appear at other sizes).

What are nanocoatings made of?

Nanocoatings have a complex chemical composition. The main component of most nanocoatings is silicon oxide (SiO). The hardness of nanocoatings is achieved by a strong structure that prevents dislocation shifts.

How many layers is better to make?

The more layers, the better the protection will be. The main thing is to use the right materials and keep the inter-layer drying. To dry the bodywork, we use a chamber with IR heating to 60°C.

What can be protected with nano coatings?

Thanks to modern technology, there is a whole range of new protections for different surfaces - glass, lacquered, chrome, leather and fabrics.

Could the nanocoating protect against tree resin?

Many car enthusiasts know that during the scorching sun season, you need to be especially careful to keep your car clean. The fact is that the surface of the body heats up to 50-80 degrees in the sun. Under such conditions, it may take just a few hours for an indelible tar, bitumen or bird droppings stain to form on the car's paintwork, and bitumen penetrates into the lacquer most actively and quickly when heated. Especially dangerous is liquid bitumen, or tar, which contains more light oil fractions and, once on the paintwork, penetrates into its layers faster.

The protective layer of nanoceramics resists the effects of aggressive environment, but it is not a panacea against all chemical reactions. The nanocoating prevents foreign bodies from penetrating the paintwork layer and helps save you the time it takes to drive to the car wash.

But how can such a thin coat protect the surface from scratches?

Not all nano coatings protect against scratches. Protection against mechanical damage is achieved by increasing the hardness of the surface. High concentrations of nanoparticles with stronger covalent bonds, make nanocoatings more resistant than other protections. In addition, the orderly placement of the nanoparticles significantly improves gloss and reduces the coefficient of friction.

What is a "pie"?

Nanocoatings are applied in several or more layers to achieve a more durable surface protection. A kind of "pie" is made of nanocoatings that complement each other, making the protection more durable. For example, nanoceramics increase the hardness of the paintwork, but are not as hydrophobic as liquid glass. And the other way. In a properly prepared pie, both coatings will take their best chemical and physical properties.

What is hydrophobicity?

Hydrophobicity is a physical property of a molecule that "tends" to avoid contact with water. The molecule itself in this case is called hydrophobic. Surfaces treated with such compounds get a hydrophobic effect for a long time, they get dirty less and are easier to clean. In addition, the surface treated with nanocoatings better resist mechanical and chemical influences, as well as other external factors.

Will coating protect against "beast" washes?

If you set your mind to it, any coating can be damaged. Unfortunately, no nanocoating will protect from nails and stones. You may "rub" the car with a rag with sand at a carwash as well. We recommend a protective film of new generation for protection from serious mechanical damages. The secret of this film is in the protective layer, which is applied to the polyurethane during production. Despite its thickness of 150-200 microns, the protective film is maximum transparent and smooth. The film is not afraid of gravel, sand, light traffic accidents. Another very important property of the new film is its self-repair effect. Small damages, scratches (e.g. from a dirty rag) can be removed with hot water (60°C) or in bright sunlight.

What is the best protection against corrosion?

Corrosion protection of metal in corrosive environments is based on increasing the corrosion resistance of the metal itself and preventing contact with the environment by means of an insulating coating. The best way to do this is with Ceramic Pro 9H - reliable corrosion protection for 10+ years.

In summary, let's highlight the main advantages of ceramic coatings:

  • Uniformly ordered distribution of nanoparticles on the surface.
  • More durable protection.
  • Anticorrosive protection.
  • Deep gloss and rich color.
  • Anti-mud effect.
  • De-icing
  • High hydrophobicity (water repellent effect).
