The protective anti gravel film is produced ONLY from POLYURETHANEwith the thickness from 150 up to 250 microns. The elastic film reliably protects the body, optics, glasses, etc. from:
- gravel, sandblasting;
- tar, paint, insects, bird's tracks;
- scratches, chips;
- minor accidents;
- other mechanical and chemical damage.
It is best to install "invisible protection" on the entire body and optics. But first of all, it is recommended to protect the impact areas: hood, bumper, front fenders, sills, headlights and parking lights.
Types of protective films
First-generation anti-gravel films were made of pure polyurethane and were not protected against external influences. Any insect, bird marks or bitumen could literally boil into the polyurethane in the bright sun. A significant disadvantage of the first protective films was their structure - shagreen. Especially on black cars it looks terrible. In addition, pure polyurethane does not polish well. After a while, such a film often had to be replaced.
High Gloss
Polyurethane films of the latest generation - thermoplastic, hybrid, with self-repair effect. Ultra-transparent films are visually invisible even on white cars. Polyurethane films are primarily designed to protect paintwork from mechanical and chemical effects. The films are characterized by deep gloss, no shagreen, and a regenerative layer.
Matte
Polyurethane film of Matte series has an original appearance. It is in no way inferior (in terms of its external characteristics) to matte paintwork, the film has better protection and a hydrophobic effect.
Tinted polyurethane
Polyurethane films with a shade of black and gray. In addition, there is a completely black gloss and mat. In terms of physical and mechanical properties, the film is practically not inferior to the transparent one.
Protection with effect
Polyurethane is now also used for styling. Protective film with carbon effect and mother-of-pearl interspersed. An excellent solution not only to protect the car, but also to make it brighter!
The front of the car (the so-called impact area) is under continuous "bombardment". The body gets sandblasted, the optics get scratched and lose their shine, and the chrome moldings get cloudy and dull. You have to drive a car with a lot of chips and damages, or spend money and time on repainting, repairing or replacing damaged parts every year.
The latest generation of protective films has no disadvantages. Their secret is in multilayers. Despite the thickness of 150-250 microns, the protective film is maximum transparent and smooth. The film is not afraid of gravel, sand and light traffic accidents. Another very important property of the new film is the self-repair effect. Small damages, scratches (for example, from a dirty rag) can be removed with hot water (60°C) or in bright sunlight.
Paint protection film advantages:
- have high strength, resistant to tears, punctures and abrasion;
- quality film should be quite thick (150-220 microns) in order to absorb the impact energy;
- stretching more than 400% - makes it possible to paste on complex surfaces;
- polyurethane films are fully transparent to UV rays, that's why the protected areas naturally burn out as well as the unprotected areas;
- quality film over time does not yellow, fade or discolor;
- easy to remove without damaging topcoat;
- ability to conduct abrasive polishing of the surface layer;
- self healing effect small scratches can be removed from the film with hot water;
- durability (service life of at least 5 years);
- increases the value of the car on the secondary market;
- the film adheres tightly and reliably to any surface and is almost invisible to others.
Car interior protection
The interior of a car suffers as much as the body in the process of operation. Rings, keys and manicures leave deep traces... The latest generation of protective films have a better adhesive layer and are as transparent as lacquer. First of all, it is worth protecting the control screens, dashboard, console, wood and piano lacquer.
The aesthetics of protective films
The thickness of the film is 5 times the thickness of the lacquer layer. The third-generation films are free of shagreen lines and other imperfections. Due to this, the color under the film becomes much richer and the shine is deep. We use high class polyurethane films: Clif-designs, XPEL, LLumar, Suntek.
To ensure the highest level of protection, it is recommended to contact specialized services for the installation of anti-gravel film. Do not forget about the need to thoroughly clean the surface of the car before the installation of this coating. If you have small defects or scratches, it is recommended to polish them first. And don't be discouraged by the exclusivity of your car model, because the protective film can be cut to the individual measurements.
How to take care of the film?
The anti gravel film can be washed one week after installation. The film should be taken care of the same way as the paint coat. It is recommended to apply a hard wax on the film.
Caution! Wash the car at the car wash and let them know that the film is installed. Keep the water jet nozzle at least 15 cm from the edge of the film.
