Painting service

The body is the most expensive part of the car! The appearance of the car also determines its value. Therefore, the perfect shape of the body is to emphasize the rich color and deep shine. After all, the paintwork has not only a protective, but also an aesthetic function. We use only the best PPG, Glasurit and Spies Hecker paints.

Quality body painting

The technology of QUALITY body painting is a COMPLETE replacement of the paint coating. Thus, we can give not only a long term warranty on our works, but also keep the factory thickness of the paint coating. OEM painting is a complex technological process, because it is necessary to achieve a very precise thickness of each layer of paintwork.

Restoration of the paintwork includes:

  • Repairing/recoating minor damage and dents.
  • Accurate color matching.
  • Anticorrosion treatment.
  • Complete paintwork replacement.
  • Paints and varnishes

What is used to paint a car?

The process of preparing parts for painting is the most time-consuming and responsible. Metal parts are subjected to mandatory anti-corrosion treatment. For plastic parts, a primer is used. At first, the geometric shape is restored, since after the tin work there are traces of straightening - small dents, scratches, roughness. Metal parts are subjected to mandatory anti-corrosion treatment. Primer is used for plastic. The surface is coated with primer in several layers, and then it is prepared for painting.

Protecting metals against corrosion

Corrosion is the destruction of a metal or alloy as a result of its oxidation under the influence of the environment. Car body parts are the most susceptible to corrosion. Corrosion not only weakens the metal, it can also cause the bodywork to fail.

Car restoration

The bad condition of the body is not the final verdict. Restoration is a set of repair/manufacturing processes to restore a car to its original shape and functionality. Retro cars are a lucrative investment tool. Especially if we are talking about collector's pieces, the value of which increases from year to year.

We perform restoration work of any complexity:

  • Full body painting.
  • Straightening. Restoration of body geometry.
  • Exact selection of paint.
  • Body painting "under the instrument".

Parts manufacturing

Fiberglass is a fairly strong material that consists of fiberglass impregnated with resin. There are several types of fiberglass based on the type of resin that impregnates them. Thanks to the fiberglass, the resin does not break down, but gains flexibility and sufficient strength. Prototype parts are made from plasticine. Then the matrix is removed from the prototype and then the fiberglass is shaped. Glass fiber mat is used to make complex parts. Fiberglass mat is easily shaped to the required part and can have a large thickness and density required to create a part with a complex shape. Thin layers of glass mat are used for making parts of streamlined shape with bends, sides, transitions. To increase strength and reduce weight, an artificial reinforcing material polycor is used, which is inserted in the space between the layers of glass mat. Metal products are more expensive and better quality. For stamping, it is necessary to create a die and a punch.

Accurate paint selection

Over time, the shade of the paintwork may somewhat change, becoming more light due to ultraviolet rays and climatic factors. In order to obtain the desired color, the colorist polishes a small area of the body (the oxide layer that changes the shade must be removed) and then compares the base color (computer matching) with the shade that the coating has at the moment. Each color code specified by the manufacturer has several additional shades, and the colorist, comparing the base color and the available color, selects the shade according to the palette. The shade is selected under the control of the light of the different spectrum. After that the data is entered into the computer, which produces a batch of paint of the desired color.

The color range of the body of a modern car is saturated with a huge number of pigments, pearlescent and xerolics. Due to the volumetric structure of the pigment, the car acquires a deeper, brighter color. When metallic is added to the coloring material, shimmering occurs only in one plane, when applying mother-of-pearl - in two planes, and if the technology of xeralic painting is used, then the surface will begin to shimmer in four planes.

Therefore, a special attention should be paid to the accurate color selection. Every modern car has a code, by which the color formula is primarily determined. However, this is not enough, because every car is unique, and also in color. For a more accurate color selection, experts use a spectrophotometer, but the device also gives an error.

The most accurate analysis is a computer analysis. For this, we look at the color under a microscope. The computer compares two variants: the base color of a body and color of matching. The selection with the use of computer programs is considered to be the most difficult way, but exactly it allows defining the formula of the color for the concrete case.

Car body painting

The most recent developments in paint coatings are water-based paints. The organic part of the solvent is the minimum necessary to bind the paint particles. The liquefaction function proper (for spray painting) is taken over by water. Water-based paints are safe for health and the environment. Besides, they allow saving from 75 to 90 % on solvent. The water vapor generated by spraying the paint provides high electrostatic adhesion compared to organic solvents.

Polishing

The final step in the painting process is polishing. Polishing gives the paintwork a richer, deeper shine. After polishing, we recommend protecting the body with a nano coating. The coating will give a richer shine and increase the hardness of the paintwork.

During the spraying process, a stream of fine metal particles is deposited on the surface, providing a reliable, indestructible contact (powder metal). The main advantage of the sputtering technology is the low heat input on the metal surface to be treated. This ensures long-lasting protection of the bodywork against corrosion.

The use of aluminum in the automotive industry reduces the weight of vehicles and at the same time it is a very strong metal. In addition, aluminum absorbs the force of the impact - the deformation of the body is located in the place where the impact occurred.
