Our clients sometimes come with this question: what to do first, noise insulation of the car or rustproofing? Our advice is to combine both options, to do them simultaneously, in one visit to the installation center. This solution has several advantages.
Firstly, both treatments: noise insulation and anticorrosion assume total dismantling of a car interior. If you separate them by time and do them separately, you will have to dismantle the interior twice, and it is extra time and complications. It is much easier to handle the car in one go.
Secondly, if you have made noise isolation, and then take care of rustproofing, there can be difficulties. The sound deadening technology is supposed to create additional vapor-barrier on the doors. It is a sheet of vibration damper applied to the outer surface. For anti-corrosion treatment of the doors it will have to be removed - and then replaced by a new one, because the vibration isolation has a one-time application, re-installation is impossible. Accordingly, the cost will increase and time work also.
Simultaneous treatment involves the vibration isolation and the sound absorber/sandwich material are mounted on the inner surface of the doors first. Then the anti-corrosion is performed, the master sprays the hidden cavities. Only after that the third layer of soundproofing is mounted. As a result, you get a complete door treatment at minimal cost.
